Der Vormittag
Eine Footvolley-Stunde bei der Clínica de Futevôlei by Dunga, die sich Rios erste Footvolley-Schule nennt, am Strand von Ipanema: nur Brust, Kopf und Füsse, über ein Volleyballnetz, zum Schluss ein Spiel gegen die Stammspieler.
- Rund eine bis anderthalb Stunden; wer nicht in Rio wohnt, bucht eine Tageslektion
- Früh buchen; morgens ist es kühler und der Sand fester
- Am Sonntag ist die Strandstrasse für Autos gesperrt und die ganze Uferfront wird zur Promenade

Aus einem Verbot geboren
In den 1960er-Jahren wurde Fussball am Strand von Copacabana verboten. Die Spieler wechselten an die Volleyballnetze und hielten die Hände vom Ball: So entstand Footvolley.
Mittagessen
Kokoswasser und gegrillter Käse am Spiess von den Strandkiosken, dann ein langer Nachmittag im Sand.

A night hike with a guide to Pico do Papagaio for sunrise over the bay, about five to six hours return; an easy afternoon after.
Dois Rios
The day
The forest trail across the island to Dois Rios, three to four hours, and a moqueca in Abraão for the last dinner.

Getting home
Boat and van back to Rio airport, about four hours; an evening flight.
